Higher Praise Worship Center
2002
Higher Praise Ministries, Inc. was founded by Bishop Henry Wayne White and wife, Elder Drucilla White. The ministry began as a prayer group for the community, where people gathered in homes throughout the metro-Detroit area. The prayer groups outgrew the homes and later held church services in the Holiday Inn hotel.
2006
Higher Praise purchased it's first building on the west side of Detroit. Four years later we purchased 2 additional buildings to work towards the vision of expansion God had given. Annually, Higher Praise served thousands throughout the community outreach initiative by giving away free food, clothing, school supplies, and more to everyone in need.

Founder, Bishop Henry Wayne White was called home to be with the Lord. In the same year, his successor Associate Pastor, Doran Morson, Sr. was installed as pastor by the wife of the honorable Bishop, Elder Drucilla White. God was with us during this transition as we remained committed to building the Kingdom of God, through saving souls and community outreach. In 2014 Elder Drucilla White, was installed as the Overseer of Higher Praise Ministries, Inc.

Center which was founded by
Pastor Doran Morson, Sr. Drucilla White still remains a member of Higher Praise Worship Center and serves as the Overseer. Our vision is to help people know who they are in Christ Jesus, by encouraging them to experience a personal relationship with him.
